Bibbity Bop (Working Title)

Concept Statement
You’re an adventurer that’s been caught between a rock and a hard place. On your journey to avenge your slaughtered village, you come across another village much like your own, currently being attacked by waves and waves of the enemy. The enemy includes human raiders, orks, dark elves, skeletons and the worst of them all, a dragon! Use your skill to help save the village, arm yourself with what you find from the enemy, fight enough to lure out the leader of the attack and push the enemy back.

Genre: Wave Survival
The main genre of Bibbity Bop is wave survival, but involves elements from RPGs and looter shooters.

Target Audience
The Target audience for Bibbity Bop is everyone, with simple controls and easy to understand game mechanics Bibbity Bop caters for everyone with its ease to play and replayability. For the players out there that enjoy randomness and looter shooter game elements, Bibbity Bop caters to them in the form of lootable weapons with randomized statistics. This can in turn increase the difficulty for the player if they so desire, or it could make it easier for them if they get lucky on the weapon stats. No one run of Bibbity Bop is the same as the next.

Concept Creation and Influences
The game concept was primarily influenced by top down RPG games, no specific game truly influenced Bibbity Bop but a few other games have influenced design aspects of Bibbity Bop. For example the randomization of weapon/gear statistics is a concept adopted by lots of looter shooter/rpg games. To name a few, Destiny, The Division and Borderlands. The scope of this game is only a portion of what I hope it can be eventually, the idea is to have a much bigger RPG game with quests and a storyline, rogue-like elements and wave survival elements. Bibbity Bop is in essence one portion of the larger game, made into its own separate game.

Game Treatment
Bibbity Bop is a top down wave survival game with RPG and looter shooter elements to provide replayability and variety. The game is set in a world where the Forces of Evil have begun their plan to conquer the known world. Lead by an unknown figure, their forces are organised and divided across the land, causing havoc where ever they go. You're journey begins as you make your way back to your village, a legion of the Forces of Evil have attacked your village and slaughtered hundreds. You being a strong handed farmer feel the need to avenge those you've lost, you pick up a sword from the dead and  push on to pursue the enemy.

You meet them mid raid on a nearby village, here you will prove to yourself and those you loved that you are capable of stopping the Forces of Evil and pushing them back into the shadows. You'll need to fend of waves and waves of the enemy, looting better equipment and weapons as you go. Push the enemy back enough to lure out their party leader and end their small conquest where it stands. Use what you have learned and gathered to make a dent in the Forces of Evil's army. Team up with knights and villagers to form a force to be reckoned with.
